I finally got something I have been waiting forever for. My custom license plates. I got the DMV mailing today and quickly got over there. After waiting in line I go up and the guy starts to get the information to transfer. Turns out there was an error, because of the fuck up earlier in the year, so he had to call DMV HQ in Sacramento to sort the damn thing out. After about ten minutes I finally got them right before the DMV closed. Slapped the puppies on and added the tags. All set. They look damn sexy.

I was finally active for once this weekend. Yesterday, not so much. All I did was watch TV and shoot people in Call of Duty 4 on the new maps and finally got the .50 cal. So fucking awesome. I love the sound it makes. I also somehow managed to pick up Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath. The epic units are pretty cool. The AI is still an asshole though.

As for today, I woke up and played some Kane’s Wrath and then did a test drive of my shiny new .50 cal in Call of Duty 4. I killed eight people the first time I used it. I am in love with it. At around 11am or so I headed out to start washing my car and my dad’s. I originally agreed to only do two but somehow I got suckered into doing three with annoyed me. I got it done after an hour or two. Once that was over I played a little more C&C3 and later on I downloaded Shadowbane to play with the Shackers. Not sure what to make of it just yet but I guess time will tell. At least it is free to play.

I can’t believe it has been two years since I switched over to WordPress. Doesn’t seem like that long ago. Times have changed quite a bit since this time last year. Many changes to myself and the people around me, including some new additions.

Since this time last year I have graduated from high school and ventured off to college. A big change in my everyday life. Although with this change came more responsibilities and the biggest change, loss of old friends. There are a bunch of people I do not see anymore due to going to college or moving in general. It was pretty depressing once you get to thinking about it. You spend much of your time with them in school all those years only to have them go away. College brought a few new ones along the way, although not as strong as some of the high school ones. I have also met new people through other ways. Namely Tammi, Carter, and Ashlee. Even that crazy Canadian. All good pals with them. Last year I also had to deal with the death of my grandfather but as time went on I adjusted to the change, as hard as it was. Days, weeks, months, it all came and went. Now it is 2008. It’s pretty crazy.

Considering I’ve written the epic end of the year post just three months ago my memory juices are a bit low so I won’t be picking my top ten posts of the last year. Instead you get to see pretty stats and some search results that make me feel like the FBI will pound on my door in the near future.

Friday was quite the day. I woke up worried about my computer science test and how I needed to go to the student store and get a scantron for it. I headed out about ten minutes early so I could. As I was driving closer to the freeway I noticed something you don’t want to happen. The brakes on my car went out. My foot was pushing the brakes all the way down. My car just kept going. I got the “oh shit” look on my face as I carefully raced back home. I ran in the door and told my dad the situation and then said that I was going to take his car. I grabbed his keys and quickly swapped out important things for school. Once I was on the freeway I floored it. I parked in the closet spot I could find and jumped out heading for the student store. I made it there with eight minutes until the class. I saw Danny doing the same thing I needed to do. After grabbing the scantron I told him the details and he was surprised. We bought the thing and headed to the class barely making it in time. It also turned out that the test was easy.

Once school was over I headed home and my dad told me that my brake fluid was out so he bought a bottle and filled it. I was braking on air which doesn’t work like it does on trains sadly. I also reset the sensor so I will know next time.

Yesterday I went out with my parents to various car shops looking for find out who is the cheapest when it comes to getting some new tires. Back when I got my oil change (about a month ago) they told us that my front tires were dangerously low but my parents gave me the “whatever” look and decided to let me drive for a month before giving a shit. So we checked out a handful of places and decided on Les Schwab. We dropped the car off and went to Best Buy. At Best Buy I picked up Burnout Paradise and then walked over to Borders to waste time. After about two hours or so they called us to pick up the car. When we did they gave us a free box of various beef products which was pretty cool. I drove the car home and popped in Burnout.

The new Burnout is very different from the old ones. I’m still trying to get used to the “pick your own route” deal and making sure I turn on the right street going 150+MPH. Not the easiest thing to do. After about an hour or so of playing I hopped on Lego Star Wars to play with Tammi in Episode 1. The connection was off and on at first and then during the second to last level we encountered a pretty mean glitch that wouldn’t let us beat it so we had to start over. Once done with that level we got to the last of Episode 1. Here we ran into something worse. With the added lag and stuff it was hard to use our Force powers on Darth Maul during the battle. This led to a little frustration but we managed to make it through. Tammi and myself plan to continue our adventure later today.

As for today, I woke up and watched last night’s Stargate Atlantis which was really good and then loaded up Burnout. I unlocked some new cars and got a new license which made me happy. Right now I am downloading Service Pack 1 for Vista on my laptop. Hopefully it will improve performance and reduce some nagging load times. Don’t need any new problems. Other than that I expect an average day.

Monday already? Where the fuck did my weekend go? Totally not looking forward to today. In fact I never look forward to Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Why? Math sucks. The only worthwhile thing to look forward to this week is tomorrow. For one I get to vote for the first time and the other is, well, I don’t want to spoil it just yet. You’ll hear of it soon enough.

As for today, after school I am heading over to a friend’s house so his dad can help me replace a part in the engine so the stupid check engine light turns off (hopefully). Shouldn’t take too long (again, hopefully). Other than that this week is looking to suck normally.

Oh yeah, the dream I had last night was normal for once (except for a few odd things, minor really), albeit unexpected. Not sure what to make of it being the current situation, but we’ll see.

This afternoon I headed out to get a part for my car. It apparently prevents bad crap from entering the air. Whatever. After I got back I prepared to watch the Super Bowl. It was a good game. I am glad the Giants beat the fuck out of Brady and his posse. Good times.

The last few days have been a bit odd. It kind of fits I guess since my vacation is coming to an end. Since the 360 is broken and shipped off I have mainly been on the PC doing all kinds of things.

Friday I woke up and wasted as much time as possible so Cloverfield would come faster. At about 10:15am I headed out to the theater to meet up with Andrew. We were going to the 11am showing (first of the day) to beat the crowds, mainly high school kids who all had finals which meant they would be getting our around 12 and 1pm. When I got there there were only a few cars in the parking lot. I waited for Andrew to show up and then we went in and got seats in the back row. While we were waiting we talked about Call of Duty 4. Once the previews started the first one reminded me of Hellboy. I turned to Andrew and told him that the second one was coming out later this year. I turned back to the screen and then saw Hellboy on the screen and was like “motherfucker.” It was the Hellboy 2 trailer. During the second trailer, for the movie 21, I chomped down on a gummy worm and chipped a tiny piece of my front right tooth. Nothing major but it still pissed me off. I plan to have the dentist check it out when I go the next time (whenever that is). Moving back to the movie, it was awesome. Plain and simple on of the coolest and creative movies I have seen. From start to finish it kept me engaged. Andrew seemed to get freaked at some parts with his “Holy shit” and “What the fuck” moments. I just laughed in my head. After the movie I headed home and dicked around on the computer. UPS dropped off the coffin for the Xbox 360 so I packed it up and dropped it off at the UPS store were the truck came just as I was leaving. I went home and then watched Stargate Atlantis.

I woke up Saturday morning around the same time as the day before. This time I was taking my brother to see Cloverfield. We headed over again, beating the crowds. Same trailers, same seats. My brother was a little less dramatic as Andrew but it was close. During the movie he told me that I can die in a fire and that he plans to get the DVD. I told him that we’ll see about it. After the movie I got home to an empty house. The parents were out and about and a little later my brother headed off to a friends house. I proceeded to do the usual internet things when I got a message from a Shacker to play Team Fortress 2. I never played it online before so I was a bit hesitant. I got the server info and jumped in. I chose the Pyro first to give it a shot. Turns out I suck with that class so I went Soldier. I got some good kills and the class seems to work with me. I got better as the day progressed and I made sure to tell Tammi that if I get obsessed with it she has to either beat me senseless or kill me. I do not want to get sucked in a game with school around the corner. After a few hours of that I IMed for the rest of the night.

This morning I fired up Team Fortress 2 and played a few rounds. Once I was done with that I watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Around 3:30pm I headed downstairs to watch the NFC Championship game. I was rooting for the Packers but the stupid Giants kicker saved his career in overtime. Fucker. After the game I reinstalled Oblivion but left out the mods this time (at least until I find a good, stable one so I don’t have to do my multi-disk reinstall being as I don’t have the one DVD GOTY pack). Now I’m just IMing and Shacking.

Tomorrow is my last day of vacation, sadly. I will be preparing for school (mainly English since it will be the only class I go to on Tuesday). Got to pack the car with my books, prepare binders, and get the parking pass in the glove box. I’ll probably also be playing Oblivion and Team Fortress 2. Other than that I don’t know. Got to return to the mindset of school so I don’t fall asleep in class like last semester. Like that will work.

Today was take care of my car day, except that I didn’t do anything. My parents added some more cash to my Costco card so I went and got gas. Then it was off to Wal-Mart where they changed my oil and filled whatever needed to be. With that all said and done they told us that I need to have my tires replaced “ASAP” and I looked at my dad and said “told you.” Wonder how long I have to wait before that happens. I also need to find out where the fuck my custom plate is. I ordered it back in August or September. Three months my ass.

As for yesterday I spend the day playing Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. Fun game, but tons of shit to unlock. Poor me. After an argument with my parents I went online and applied for a job at Lucky’s. I’m hoping it get it. I need cash and my parents don’t give a shit.

This coming week is the last week of break for me. I head back to school on the 22nd and don’t find out my grades for the previous semester until the day before which is stupid. The plan for next week is to get the books and stuff I need for my classes so I am ready for that dreadful first day back. Another sixteen weeks in hell.

2007 was a crazy year. Many things have happened and each moment had some form of meaning. From the surprises to the failures, it has been one hell of a year. So many new things in what seemed as such little time. Transitioning from a high school student to an adult in college. With so many things it is hard to choose a single place to begin, so lets look back and remember the past year.

Note: It is not my intention to offend anyone. I am just giving the details of events from my point of view or from what I remember.
