and so it ends

I finished up Grand Theft Auto IV this morning. The ending I got (there are two to be exact) was the happier of the two, if you can even say that. The last mission was pretty annoying but I managed to get through. Now it is on to multiplayer. Should be fun.

As for today I am typing this in my computer science class during a lecture. I could of skipped this class if I knew there would be no roll call. The teacher is talking about useless stuff that won’t be on the final so I am not bothering to listen. Later on today is my last test before the final in math. I’m hoping I can get a passing grade on it to keep my overall grade to a C. Just got to keep positive. I also need to find time tonight to write up a quick short essay about the film Crash (the racist one) for English. I don’t really give a shit about it but I will quickly bullshit it to get it out of the way. After this essay I am pretty much done with anything big until the week of the 19th when finals start. Time should fly by.

why does this always happen

It’s the weekend before my midterm is due and I feel like crap. Stuffed nose, sore throat, headache, fever, a few aches and pain. It fucking sucks. I popped some meds earlier and continued to work on the midterm. I am pretty sure it is done but I may tweak it a bit as Tuesday gets closer. There isn’t much else I can write for it so I am semi happy with it. My computer science teacher thought it would be an awesome idea to make the last lab of the year due Wednesday so I get to make a four page website. I’ll probably end up doing that Tuesday night.

In other news I have been playing Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars lately. I managed to beat the GDI campaign so far (this is my first time doing the campaigns in the game even though I have had it for a while now). After working on the midterm I started the Nod campaign. Should be interesting.

And as for Grand Theft Auto IV, well I won’t be getting it until Wednesday or Thursday as I could only afford 2-day shipping from Gamestop and the fact I am saving gas by not going to the store. It also lets me have time to do the website as I would end up playing the game all day and forget. Although I am hoping there are no big assignments next weekend as I will be playing all damn day once it arrives. It is going to own so hard.

Looking over the stats for the last few days I haven’t seen a large increase. I’m hitting about my daily average. I will continue doing the Tube Tuesday thing to see if that changes. There are a few other things I am considering as I am planning on changing the blog up and decentralize it from the same stuff every post (mainly my boredom and school day). We’ll see how that goes.

Anyway, as for today, English was nothing special. We went over some more stuff to help us with the mid-term and then answered some questions on some reading. I also turned in my essay. Hopefully I get a half decent grade on it. It is not one of my best, that’s for sure. After class I spend an hour in the computer lab wasting time as usual. Only have five hours left which is nice. Speaking of computers, I have a test in my computer science class. I plan on going over the book quickly before class to make sure I somewhat understand it. I’m pretty sure it will be mostly about Visual Basic, but I guess I just have to find out.

the time to drag myself out of bed has returned

School started again today. Spring break is gone and waking up wasn’t easy this morning. It took me about two hours to get out of bed and when I did I didn’t do much. After getting ready I headed out. When I got to my computer science class I turned in my two Visual Basic labs and got to my station. Today’s lesson was Paint. Yes, Paint. I was bored to death as the teacher explained what you could do in it. I wanted to kill someone. After class I headed to the math lab to start on the homework due Wednesday. I managed to do the worksheet section but tomorrow and Wednesday before class I will need to do the book work for the assignment. Shouldn’t take too long, just a matter of getting myself to do it. Speaking of math class, it was a drag like usual. Nothing of interest.

Tomorrow is English which hopefully will fly by. I need to start and finish the essay for Thursday. Knowing me I will wait until Wednesday night. I’ll try to start it tomorrow if I can pull myself to do it. The mid-term is due April 29th. I’ll probably look into it next week or so. Not too worried about it.

I finished up my Soulstorm campaign today. Saved the Necrons for last and they were a bit of a pain in the ass. The Penitent Engines for the Sisters of Battle saved my ass though. Those things rock. I’m still rusty when it comes to doing skirmish battles so I need to warm up again.

As for the rest of the day it was pretty much boring. I have just been working on some homework and sitting back wasting time. For computer science I finished another Visual Basic lab. Had to code a program to calculate late book fees. I am hoping I filled out the forms correctly for the A. For English I started my essay that is due Tuesday. It is a bullshit essay. No doubt about that. I have to “define” beauty and compare it to some feminist’s essay from the 1970’s or some shit. Lame. Should pop it out tomorrow night. I also need to study up for math as the dreaded test is Wednesday. I need to do good on it to pull my ass out of the slump I’m currently in.

I’m blazing through the Dawn of War: Soulstorm campaign, literally. The Sisters of Battle have slaughtered the Space Marines, Imperial Guard, and the Orks. Those left will tremble with fear as I head towards them. The next on my list to annihilate are the Tau. Those fuckers are pissing me off and I want to steal their big space gun. Then it will be either the Eldar, Dark Eldar, Chaos, or Necrons. Should be interesting.

In school news, I have an essay, some math, and a computer science lab to do this weekend. My bullshit skills are preparing themselves.

air brakes are not for cars, noted

Friday was quite the day. I woke up worried about my computer science test and how I needed to go to the student store and get a scantron for it. I headed out about ten minutes early so I could. As I was driving closer to the freeway I noticed something you don’t want to happen. The brakes on my car went out. My foot was pushing the brakes all the way down. My car just kept going. I got the “oh shit” look on my face as I carefully raced back home. I ran in the door and told my dad the situation and then said that I was going to take his car. I grabbed his keys and quickly swapped out important things for school. Once I was on the freeway I floored it. I parked in the closet spot I could find and jumped out heading for the student store. I made it there with eight minutes until the class. I saw Danny doing the same thing I needed to do. After grabbing the scantron I told him the details and he was surprised. We bought the thing and headed to the class barely making it in time. It also turned out that the test was easy.

Once school was over I headed home and my dad told me that my brake fluid was out so he bought a bottle and filled it. I was braking on air which doesn’t work like it does on trains sadly. I also reset the sensor so I will know next time.

Yesterday was decent. Went to English and then suffered through another hour of the computer lab. Total hours as of yesterday was just over three. I plan to make up another hour tomorrow but am questioning whether I should do an hour today or half an hour and the same for Friday to get my five. Then I just to two thirty minute labs on Tuesdays and Thursdays after that to get my one hour a week (or two if I need to get ahead for whatever reason. It is super boring in there and since I have no work I just fumble around. I’m sure someone is going to notice eventually. Maybe I can use my laptop or something. And as for school I think I will be getting last week’s math test back. Here’s hoping I did good.

Today’s English proved to be lame once again. The teacher didn’t grade all the essays due to the jackasses who turned theirs in late so we get to wait until Thursday. For the rest of the class he had us get in groups and create a satirical paragraph or skit. When he let us start it was only one other person and myself. Five minutes later another came. Another five minutes and the last person came. While they dicked around I came up with a paragraph about hybrid cars that used soft drinks as an alternate fuel source. It would turn out that my brain managed to bullshit that pretty well without my useless group and class went by.

I got home and loaded Grand Theft Auto and finally beat the stupid fucking flight training missions. Such bullshit. Now I am in the Las Vegas style city and fighting mobsters. It’s getting hard now. As for the rest of my day I prepared my laptop with Songbird and uninstalled iTunes. It was acting screwy when I first put it on but after a reboot everything turned out fine. I plan to use it tomorrow to waste time in the lab.

As for computer science, one of the lab assignments is technically due tomorrow but since he hasn’t shown us how to do the format he wants I don’t see how he can ask for it. Hopefully he realizes this and puts it off until sometime next week. This will also give me more of an excuse to get those five hours in the lab. I am also a bit torn about my lab time for the class tomorrow as I need to go over some math for the test. I might end up leaving the house early tomorrow so I can get a little lab in before my computer science class and then get at least ten to fifteen in the math lab to study with Sable. We’ll have to see how that turns out.
