I wonder what this tag could be for…

Life has been pretty easy lately. After two days off I went back to work last night. It turned out two people didn’t show so I had to be on register one while the girl who was hired with me was called in for cosmetics. With only three people closing the store it was a bit hectic at times but we managed pretty well. Tonight is my last register shift before starting photo on Monday. I know I will probably be nervous as all hell (especially with the backlog of orders we will have since the machine as been down the last two days). Hopefully all goes well and I don’t break anything. The good news is that on Monday when I start photo there will be another guy there who can help me out if I am in a bind (even though he is on register that night). On slightly bad news I start my shift an hour and half earlier than normal which probably will become regular throughout summer until school starts, so it will be 2:30pm instead of 4pm. I also have some days where I start at 11am and noon. Those will be odd, but they are longer than my regular shift which means more money.

As for earlier today I went to the local Washington Mutual to deposit my paycheck and move some funds around. After that I went to the theater and watched Wanted. It was pretty cool, kind of like throwing Shoot ‘Em Up, The Matrix, and Equilibrium in one movie. Also, Angelina Jolie’s butt was mighty fine.

The lack of anything would be a result of work and me being too tired to do much. The last few days haven’t been very eventful aside from work and a movie marathon of Lethal Weapon. That’s about. Oh, and I’ve been smacking crazy people with pipes. Pretty neat blood splatter.

Well it is official, I am going to be going to (repetitive, I know, just making sure you are reading) my aunt’s wedding. So I will be making this as special as possible and not just because of the wedding. WordPress is telling me that this is the 1000th post (not sure if it is WordPress only posts or all of those and the imports, but who cares). I will be covering the three days I will be there and if possible (well, you’ll know if I did it or not) a special video! Yep, so buckle up and hang on. I’m taking this motherfucker into overdrive.

I finished up Grand Theft Auto IV this morning. The ending I got (there are two to be exact) was the happier of the two, if you can even say that. The last mission was pretty annoying but I managed to get through. Now it is on to multiplayer. Should be fun.

As for today I am typing this in my computer science class during a lecture. I could of skipped this class if I knew there would be no roll call. The teacher is talking about useless stuff that won’t be on the final so I am not bothering to listen. Later on today is my last test before the final in math. I’m hoping I can get a passing grade on it to keep my overall grade to a C. Just got to keep positive. I also need to find time tonight to write up a quick short essay about the film Crash (the racist one) for English. I don’t really give a shit about it but I will quickly bullshit it to get it out of the way. After this essay I am pretty much done with anything big until the week of the 19th when finals start. Time should fly by.

I’m still working my way through Grand Theft Auto 4 and things are getting interesting. The missions are getting crazier and a bit harder each time. The last mission that I enjoyed a lot was similar to a certain scene in the movie Heat. It was fucking awesome. I’m sure bigger missions are to come.

On another note, Iron Man was awesome as well. Good stuff all around.

I can’t believe it has been two years since I switched over to WordPress. Doesn’t seem like that long ago. Times have changed quite a bit since this time last year. Many changes to myself and the people around me, including some new additions.

Since this time last year I have graduated from high school and ventured off to college. A big change in my everyday life. Although with this change came more responsibilities and the biggest change, loss of old friends. There are a bunch of people I do not see anymore due to going to college or moving in general. It was pretty depressing once you get to thinking about it. You spend much of your time with them in school all those years only to have them go away. College brought a few new ones along the way, although not as strong as some of the high school ones. I have also met new people through other ways. Namely Tammi, Carter, and Ashlee. Even that crazy Canadian. All good pals with them. Last year I also had to deal with the death of my grandfather but as time went on I adjusted to the change, as hard as it was. Days, weeks, months, it all came and went. Now it is 2008. It’s pretty crazy.

Considering I’ve written the epic end of the year post just three months ago my memory juices are a bit low so I won’t be picking my top ten posts of the last year. Instead you get to see pretty stats and some search results that make me feel like the FBI will pound on my door in the near future.

Today was spend playing Mount&Blade, seeing RAMBO, and reinstalling Battlefield 1942. Yep. I killed and saw people get killed. Damn good day in my eyes.

Tomorrow is the second week of school this semester. Here’s hoping for an easy day, although math may put me to sleep again.

The last few days have been a bit odd. It kind of fits I guess since my vacation is coming to an end. Since the 360 is broken and shipped off I have mainly been on the PC doing all kinds of things.

Friday I woke up and wasted as much time as possible so Cloverfield would come faster. At about 10:15am I headed out to the theater to meet up with Andrew. We were going to the 11am showing (first of the day) to beat the crowds, mainly high school kids who all had finals which meant they would be getting our around 12 and 1pm. When I got there there were only a few cars in the parking lot. I waited for Andrew to show up and then we went in and got seats in the back row. While we were waiting we talked about Call of Duty 4. Once the previews started the first one reminded me of Hellboy. I turned to Andrew and told him that the second one was coming out later this year. I turned back to the screen and then saw Hellboy on the screen and was like “motherfucker.” It was the Hellboy 2 trailer. During the second trailer, for the movie 21, I chomped down on a gummy worm and chipped a tiny piece of my front right tooth. Nothing major but it still pissed me off. I plan to have the dentist check it out when I go the next time (whenever that is). Moving back to the movie, it was awesome. Plain and simple on of the coolest and creative movies I have seen. From start to finish it kept me engaged. Andrew seemed to get freaked at some parts with his “Holy shit” and “What the fuck” moments. I just laughed in my head. After the movie I headed home and dicked around on the computer. UPS dropped off the coffin for the Xbox 360 so I packed it up and dropped it off at the UPS store were the truck came just as I was leaving. I went home and then watched Stargate Atlantis.

I woke up Saturday morning around the same time as the day before. This time I was taking my brother to see Cloverfield. We headed over again, beating the crowds. Same trailers, same seats. My brother was a little less dramatic as Andrew but it was close. During the movie he told me that I can die in a fire and that he plans to get the DVD. I told him that we’ll see about it. After the movie I got home to an empty house. The parents were out and about and a little later my brother headed off to a friends house. I proceeded to do the usual internet things when I got a message from a Shacker to play Team Fortress 2. I never played it online before so I was a bit hesitant. I got the server info and jumped in. I chose the Pyro first to give it a shot. Turns out I suck with that class so I went Soldier. I got some good kills and the class seems to work with me. I got better as the day progressed and I made sure to tell Tammi that if I get obsessed with it she has to either beat me senseless or kill me. I do not want to get sucked in a game with school around the corner. After a few hours of that I IMed for the rest of the night.

This morning I fired up Team Fortress 2 and played a few rounds. Once I was done with that I watched Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Around 3:30pm I headed downstairs to watch the NFC Championship game. I was rooting for the Packers but the stupid Giants kicker saved his career in overtime. Fucker. After the game I reinstalled Oblivion but left out the mods this time (at least until I find a good, stable one so I don’t have to do my multi-disk reinstall being as I don’t have the one DVD GOTY pack). Now I’m just IMing and Shacking.

Tomorrow is my last day of vacation, sadly. I will be preparing for school (mainly English since it will be the only class I go to on Tuesday). Got to pack the car with my books, prepare binders, and get the parking pass in the glove box. I’ll probably also be playing Oblivion and Team Fortress 2. Other than that I don’t know. Got to return to the mindset of school so I don’t fall asleep in class like last semester. Like that will work.

Cloverfield is awesome. Big monster, things exploding, people dying, tanks shooting, it’s what all movies need.

The day started normally this morning until about 10am when the power suddenly turned off. It surged about three times before going away completely. Bored out of my mind I took a nap for about 45 minutes or so. The power eventually came on a little before 12pm. Once everything was back to normal I went ahead with my day. Since my computer was busy backing up files to my external drive I decided to watch a DVD. I threw in The Kingdom which has been begging for my attention. Good movie. The last thirty minutes were pretty thrilling. After the movie I went up to check on the status of the backup and it still wasn’t done, so I went back down and tossed in Battlestar Galactica: Razor because I never got around to watching the unrated DVD version. The scenes left out of the TV version were pretty neat and set up some cool background information on a few characters. Once that was over my backup was pretty much done. I went on with my day until dinner where we headed our for Mexican food. Back at home I watched some stuff on the National Geographic Channel (or what they are now calling it, NatGeo). Now I’m the usual stuff before bed.

Exciting.
